originally I wanted to make a real camouflage look stamping, but none of my stampingplates had the right design. so I came up with this military modification:

we’re actually staying at home tonight, there’s nothing much to do with a 1 year old. but I don’t mind at all, I love having a yummy dinner and watching the new year’s eve tv programm! traditionally we eat fondue or raclette, drink champagne and watch “dinner for one” right before midnight. then we open the window and watch the fireworks. I just hope my baby can sleep and will not wake up from all the noise outside.

this polish is part of the current essence le all I want. there are 3 other shades, pinks and purples, nothing special to me. but I decided to go for this red, because I don’t have many reds, mostly darker and vampy shades. the picture looks a bit odd, because I had to adjust the color in photoshop, but now it’s rather color true. I guess, reds are even worse to take pictures of than purples.

I tried to create a candy cane looking water marbling nailart, with white, red and green stripes. it didn’t turn out as I had expected, but I think it’s cute. I also added some stampings in between. but I guess, I will have to do another candy cane nailart before christmas, just to satisfy myself ^^

so I was wearing orange on the left and white on the right hand. but no time to do a complete new manicure.

you know, that’s what I love about stampings. they are quickly done and can adjust the look, even if it’s 2 completely different colors.

so let’s get back to the seventies!

today it’s not only the 2nd advent sunday, it’s also “nikolo”, which is a kind of santa clause tradition here in austria. st. nikolaus (santa) and “krampus” (santa’s little helper) come to visit the kids and give them nikolosackerl (bags with candy, fruits and nuts)  if they were bad, they get a birching and get a bag of coals ;-) actually krampus has his own special day on dec. 5.this is a very long tradition, esp. in the rural communities, called “perchtenlauf”.  perchten and krampus are not exactly the same, if you are interested in the tradition, take a peek at wikipedia, it’s a little complicated to explain in 2 sentences…

my todays manicure has a vintage touch, I used 2 coats of illamasqua hectic over black, a matte top coat and china glaze the ten man. I stamped with P16 and konad silver.

yesterday I found a new nivea display called diamond collection, with 3 autumnally shades of polish. one was a berry pink, one was a darker nude/beige and one was a reddish brown. that was the one I chose, because I already have polishes very similar to the others, and 10€ (15$) for one bottle of drugstorepolish is not exactly cheap, right?

bei dm habe ich einen aufsteller von astor gefunden, ich weiss allerdings nicht, ob der silver tatsächlich ein neuer lack ist, oder nur in den aufsteller gepackt wurde. auf jeden fall sieht er gut aus!
I found a display of astor with some polish, but I don't know if it's new colors, or just some old packed into a new collection. but it looks great!

heute trage ich caribbean blue, ein hellblau mit kleinen glass flecks, und darüber auf anfrage ein stamping mit h24 und weiss. topcoat ist fairy dust von china glaze, leider nicht so gut zu sehen, auf dem verschwommenen foto erkennt man es etwas besser, das blau entspricht aber dem auf dem oberen foto.

hatte mal wieder lust auf stamping. eigentlich wollte ich etwas ganz anderes machen, irgendwas mit spitze, aber beim durchsehen der platten bin ich bei dieser hängen geblieben. ich finde, es hat etwas von chinesischem porzellan. habe versucht, 2-färbig zu stampen. das ergebnis hätte besser sein können, sieht aber trotzdem ganz nett aus, oder?
I felt like doing some stamping yesterday. actually I wanted to do something totally differend, some kind of lace stamping. but when I went through my plates I ended up with this one. I think it looks like chinese china. I tried stamping with 2 colors at the same time, could have turned out nicer, but I still like it.

hatte heute irgendwie lust, das marmorieren nochmal zu probieren, und diesmal hats auch viel besser geklappt. beim nächsten mal werde ich davon fotos machen und meine tricks posten ;-)

gestern war wieder shopping angesagt. ich musste nach biedermannsdorf zu nailart und mehr, um die preise für den contest abzuholen. freundlicherweise haben die ladies einiges gesponsort, mehr dazu ganz am ende. natürlich bin ich dort nicht mir leeren händen rausgegangen, es ist einiges ins körbchen gewandert...
doch vorher musste ich zu müller, wollte nur shampoo holen, naja, was soll ich sagen ;-) bin über die neuen alessandros gestolpert, swatches folgen demnächst.
yesterday was shoppingday. I had to pic up the prizes for the upcoming contest, the ladies from nailart und mehr were kind enough to sponsor a whole lot! of course I "had" to get some new stuff there!
but before I went to müller's, I had to buy shampoo, and *caugh* fell over the new alessandros, swatches coming up soon.

und hier meine nailart beute: rote glitzersteinchen, grünes gel, eine 3d nailart form, sticker.

and this is my nailart haul: red rhinestones, green gel, 3d nailart mold, stickers.

in diese form füllt man acryl, gel oder fimo, lässt es aushärten und hat dann 3d applikationen für nageldesign. das werde ich bald testen!

you put acryle, gel or fimo into this mold, let cure and you get a 3d application for nailart. I'm gonna test this soon!
