I’ve been offline for 2 days now, I upgraded from vista to win7, and it was a mess! why can those things never work out like they are supposed to? I was so frustrated that I decided to apply a template instead of a background *lol*

anyways, I did some layering yesterday, something I had in mind since I got the wizards.

here’s what I used:

as I commented in the wizard review, I think dorothy who? looks better layered on something dark blue. I used 1 coat of china glaze calypso blue as a base. then I applied 1 coat of dorothy and over this 1 coat of nfu.oh 52, which is iridescent blue-green flakes in a sheer purple base.

and that’s what it looks like: I love it! what do you think?

juhu, ich habe es geschafft, halbwegs gute fotos zu machen. dh meine kamera hat es geschafft. aber sie ist an ihre grenzen gestossen.
die heurige weihnachtskollektion umfasst 12 farben, sehr viele (für meinen geschmack zu viele) rottöne, violett, braun, gold. für mich waren diesmal nur 2 dabei, was aber mein budget schont ^^
hurray I finally managed to take good pictures of these. well, my camera did. but it reached it's limits!
this years holidaycollection includes 12 shades, many (for my taste too many) reds, purples, browns, golds. only 2 for me this time.

merry midnight ist ein transparentes violett mit silbernem microglitter, blauem glitter und rot-golden duochromen flakes (auf dem 2. bild gut zu erkennen). sieht sehr interessant aus, und sehr schön. zum vergrößern anklicken.

is a sheer purple with silver microglitter, blue glitter and red-gold duochrome flakes (which you can see on the bottom pic). very interesting to look at, beautiful polish. klick to enlarge.

smitten with mittens - (hingerissen von fäustlingen. interessanter name-total unpassend, oder?) kühles kirschrot mit massenhaft rotem glitter. in der flasche ist auch goldener glitter zu erkennen, aber der verschwindet auf dem nagel. das obere bild ist zeigt die farbe, die die kamera eingefangen hat, das untere kommt dem original aber näher. es ist mir jedoch unerklärlich, warum die nägel unscharf aussehen. obwohl ich kein rotfan bin, gefällt mir dieser lack ebenfalls sehr gut.

(interesting name-but totally inappropriate, I think) is a cool cherry red with tons of red glitter. there's some golden glitter in the bottle aswell, but it doesn't appear on the nail. the top picture is how the camera saw it, the bottom shows the color more accurately. it's unexplainable to me why the polish looks blurry. although I'm not a red-fan I like the color, too.

beide lacke ließen sich gut auftragen, dank prowide brush. smitten with mittens hat recht gut gedeckt, 2 coats reichen hier völlig. merry midnight hingegen benötigt mind. 3 coats, oder aber eine passende base, wie violett oder schwarz. sonst gibt es eigentlich nicht viel zu den lacken zu sagen ^^

both polishes applied nicely, thank's to prowide brush. smitten with mittens was pretty opaque with 2 coats, merry midnight needs at least 3 coats or a matching base, like purple or black. nothing else to say ^^

ich habe mir gedacht, nach der letzten enttäuschung muss mal was richtig schönes her. die nfu.oh flake lacke wollte ich schon lange zeigen, komme aber zeitlich nicht dazu. heute gibts mal einen davon, vl schaffe ich ja doch noch alle zu zeigen, die sind nämlich richtig klasse!
after all this frustration lately I thought it's time to show something really beautiful! I wanted to do a review on the nfu.oh flakes long ago, but I never found enough time. today I'm showing you one of them, I hope I'll be able to do the rest soon, because those are just amazing!

in der flasche sieht der lack aufregend aus. polychrome flakes von rot über gelb nach grün in einer schwarzen base. allerdings ist er so flüssig, dass man mind. 5 coats brauchen würde, um ihn dicht zu bekommen. ich habe mich dazu entschieden, schwarzen unterlack zu verwenden und nur 2 coats aufzutragen. die flakes sind dadurch nicht so üppig, aber dafür deckend. noch ein nachteil des lackes ist, dass er unglaublich langsam trocknet. ich habe daher einen schnelltrocknenden überlack verwendet.

in the bottle this polish looks exciting. polychrome flakes changing from red to yellow to green in a blake base. but it's so watery that you would need at least 5 coats to make it opaque. I decided to use a black polish underneath and applying 2 coats. the flakes are not so compact this way, but it's opaque. another con is that the polish needs very long to get dry. so I used a fast drying topcoat.
