I’ve been offline for 2 days now, I upgraded from vista to win7, and it was a mess! why can those things never work out like they are supposed to? I was so frustrated that I decided to apply a template instead of a background *lol*

anyways, I did some layering yesterday, something I had in mind since I got the wizards.

here’s what I used:

as I commented in the wizard review, I think dorothy who? looks better layered on something dark blue. I used 1 coat of china glaze calypso blue as a base. then I applied 1 coat of dorothy and over this 1 coat of nfu.oh 52, which is iridescent blue-green flakes in a sheer purple base.

and that’s what it looks like: I love it! what do you think?

diesen frankie hatte ich schon lange in planung. allerdings hatte ich die benötigte base-farbe nicht auf vorrat, und da es sich um eine le handelte, hatte ich auch wenig hoffnung, diesen lack wieder zu finden. doch ich hatte glück! und ich liebe das ergebnis (das irl noch viel mehr glitzert!)
I've been planing this frankie vor a long time, but I didn't have the basecolor I wanted to use. and this had been part of a le, so I wasn't expecting to find this polish again. but I was lucky enough to get it! and I love the result (which is even more sparkling irl!)

kleine nebengeschichte: nachdem ich heute morgen seit tagen die ersten sonnenstrahlen gesehen habe, habe ich sofort den lack aufgetragen und bin dann wörtlich den halben vormittag mit lackflasche und fotoapparat bewaffnet am fenster gestanden und habe gewartet, dass die strahlen über das dach gegenüber wandern und zum fenster hereinfallen. und just in dem moment, als es soweit war, kam eine riesige wolke und schob sich vor die sonne. ich stand da wie ein begossener pudel und habe blitzfotos gemacht, hochgeladen und in den blog geladen. und als ich fertig war kam die sonne wieder hervor! wie der blitz bin ich also wieder zum fenster gestürmt und habe doch noch sonnenfotos schiessen können ^^

little sidestory: when I saw the first rays of sun in days this morning I immediately applied this polish and was literally waiting the whole morning, with the polishbottle in one and camera in the other hand, for the sun to climb the roof and shine into my window. and right when the time had come a huge cloud appeared and hid the sun! crestfallen I shot some flash pictures, uploaded them and put them onto the blog. when I was done, sun came out again and I hurried to the window and got my sunlighpics ^^

ein schöner, herbstlicher ton ist mir gestern ins körbchen gesprungen. ich bin nicht sicher, ob die farbe neu oder limitiert ist, sie ist mir aber zum ersten mal aufgefallen.
a gorgeous, autumnally shade jumped into my basket yesterday. I'm not sure, if this polish is new or limited, but I saw it for the first time.

quickie ist hier nicht der passende ausdruck. eher long term relationship! denn das ist es, was mich mit diesem lack verbinden wird. ich LIEBE ihn! als wir uns das erste mal trafen, habe ich ihn nicht besonders beachtet. schwarz mit türkisem schimmer habe ich schon. aber dann sahen wir uns wieder und ich dachte, schwarz mit so einem feinen, ausgeprägten türkisen schimmer habe ich noch nicht. also nahm ich ihn mit nach hause. draussen im sonnenlicht verliebte ich mich dann. der ist ja duochrome! schwarz mit türkis-violett changierendem schimmer habe ich definitiv noch nicht. und zu hause, als er dann die hüllen fallen ließ... was soll ich sagen, die größe zählt eben doch! ^^
quickie is not the right word here. it's rather a long term relationship that's connecting us. I LOVE this polish! when we first met I didn't pay much attention. I've already had black with teal shimmer. but then we met again and I thought, I haven't had black with such a distinct shimmer! so I took it home with me. it was in the sunlight I fell in love. it's duochrome! black with a teal-purple shimmer! and then, at home, when it stripped for me... what can I say, size does matter! ^^

und hier ist sein bestes stück: dieser pinsel ist der beste pinsel, den ich je hatte!!! er ist beinahe so breit wie mein kleiner fingernagel, und relativ kurz, was dafür sorgt, dass er sich auffächert, wenn man leicht aufdrückt. auf diese weise kann man den kompletten nagel (außer den daumen) mit nur einem strich lackieren, und der bogen wird perfekt!

speaking of size: look at this brush! it's the best brush I've ever had!!! it's almost as wide as the nail of my pinkie, and it's short, which makes it fan out when you push gently. thus you can polish your complete nail with only one stroke (except the thumb), and the smile line get's perfect!

überraschenderweise hat dieser lack keinen namen, also habe ich ihn peacock lover getauft <3
